How can I connect?
One of the great joys of a church is living in community with other Christians—worshipping together, serving together, learning together, supporting and encouraging each other. There are a number of ways to build connections with other folks at River. You can move at your own pace, whenever you feel ready.
We invite you to ask questions, get involved in worship and serving, and consider joining the River family!
Sunday Mornings. Come early or stay late to grab coffee and a pastry, and meet folks in the Gathering Area. Because we are growing so quickly, most people at River Community Church have been here for only a short time, and are eager to meet new friends, just like you!
Alpha Course. Alpha is a ten-week course on the key principles of the Christian faith. It’s a great time to learn more, get questions answered, and meet interesting people in a relaxed, informal setting. There are 2-3 classes each year—sign up for one starting soon!

Serving. Serving in the church is a great idea, for many reasons... It's a way to give back. It's a path to spiritual growth through servanthood. And it’s fun to meet people by working alongside them. Some of the critical need areas of the church are open to new attendees, such as the kitchen and ushering. Don't wait to be asked, just jump in! Once you begin serving, you can look for ways to serve that may better fit your unique gifts and talents.
Small Groups. We believe that life transformation happens best in small groups of people who want to grow together. In groups of 3-15 people, individuals or couples can get to know each other, grow in their faith, share the ups and downs of life, and experience the joy of belonging. At River, we try to include opportunities for small group experience in just about all we do, and from time to time, we’ll have special events to help you find a group where you can connect.
