Wednesday Nights in Advent Have Begun
Advent means "to wait," and specifically to wait with expectancy and longing. Observing the season teaches us, over years, to yearn in a real way for the second coming of Christ. In a very personal sense, we should use Advent to plead with God to break into our lives afresh and to deliver our hearts "anew" from our own brokenness and sin.
During the Wednesday nights of the Advent season (12/5, 12/12, and 12/19), we will be gathering in the sanctuary at 7 p.m. for a participatory time of Scripture readings and Advent carols. Please bring your whole family and join together to wait with longing and expectancy for the second coming of the Messiah.
